Two Feet or Two Wheels? After considering the prospect that there will be those who'd prefer to absorb the Cypriot scenery on foot rather than by bike, we have also introduced a walking holiday package to cater to your needs. Despite the mobility that off-road mountain biking offers in comparison to driving a car, the additional access to every nook and cranny of the island that walking can offer should not be underestimated-you can climb places which tyres cannot physically reach! Walking also offers you the chance to escape from the cares and worries of work and everyday life, where you can absorb Cyprus's beautiful scenery at a leisurely pace, if you're not the adrenaline-junkie type. It is a completely different type of holiday to our biking one, but they both guarantee a truly unforgettable experience and spectacular scenery along the way. If you're the type of person who likes to take things a bit more slowly, and have the freedom to wander and explore what Cyprus has to offer then the walking holiday will suit you perfectly. The number of 'nature trails' dotted around Cyprus are testament to its potential as a walker's haven, and as you make your way over the island's hills and mountains and pass through its rural and urban areas, you soon become aware of what an incredibly beautiful and diverse island it really is. Cyprus is steeped in history and culture, and as such boasts a plethora of touristic points of interest from churches to wineries and olive groves, as well as many quaint little villages. If you're stuck for ideas or information regarding certain points of interest then don't let that bother you. The great thing about today's technology is that the mobility of walking is now almost mirrored with internet access, not least with the invention of mobile broadband, which allows you internet access anywhere, anytime. So whether you're at the top of a mountain, or walking through one of Cyprus's olive groves, you can still check the opening times of the island's tourist attractions or find the number for that restaurant you wanted to eat at this evening. Taking a mobile is also good for piece of mind in case you do get lost from time to time, whether for making calls or for using the GPRS system to get you to your exact destination without fail. Mobile broadband abroad can often be expensive if you use it very frequently and for large data loads so do some research if you do intend to use it. The ability to check your emails and keep in touch with people over the internet might well end up being a cheaper all-in-one alternative to using your phone for calls and visiting an internet café for internet browsing so you should have a browse at mobile rates-Vodafone currently offer mobile broadband at a rate of £4.99 per day if you're travelling around Cyprus. | ||
